Now you can upload the CCD XML file directly to a referral. This means that your referral partner can simply import the CCD XML file and does not have to create the patient manually in their EMR. On the other hand, when you’re sending a referral update or a transition of care document, you can upload the TOC XML file directly to your referral update. This way your referral partner can simply import the patient XML into their EMR. Simple, wasn’t it?
In order to include a Transition of Care Document or CCD file while sending Referrals, you can now directly add them as an attachment or in the Visit Notes Section provided.
